Intern Intake Assessment

Intern 45 Minute Session
All interns are overseen by Candice, and treatment plans are approved by her. They are in the final steps of their training and certification. All interns undergo thorough vetting to ensure they are the right hand of Candice and align with her standards and practices.
Neurofeedback Protocol
It is encouraged that all of our Neurofeedback patients purchase a package of 10 to find the most benefit from a consistent sequence in their protocols. In the event that our patients do not complete a full package, a reimbursement will be provided for the remaining sessions. The Neurofeedback credit can also remain on the patient's account and can be used at their leisure for ongoing support.

Trauma Coaching
We recognize that trauma recovery is deeply personal — and it deserves a focused, compassionate approach. Our coaching is designed specifically for trauma survivors, with every method and tool tailored to support healing, resilience, and growth. Unlike other programs that adapt general techniques to trauma, we start with trauma first — then teach our coaching model. This ensures our clients receive care that’s intentional, informed, and grounded in true understanding.

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
PAYMENT
Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted for payment.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you would like to cancel an appointment, please give notice within 24 hours of your scheduled therapy appointment. If you do not show up for your appointment and/or do not notify me within 24 hours, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. I really appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

California Mental Health Parity Act
Health Coverage: Mental Health or Substance Use disorders
Under California law, health insurance plans that cover hospital, medical, or surgical care must also cover the diagnosis and medically necessary treatment of serious mental illnesses for people of any age, as well as serious emotional problems in children. These mental health services must be covered in the same way the plan covers other medical conditions. The required benefits include things like outpatient therapy, hospital stays, partial‑day hospital programs, and prescription medications (if the plan already covers prescription drugs).
